Photo: Kirsten Aguilar, The Chronicle (SF)

Yet another article on the roadkill network, thanks to Jake K., my news-reading and roak-kill monitoring friend.

I thought of joining this group, but my travels are pretty limited within a very local, area, and virtually the only animals I see dead on the road are rabbits, squirrels, 'possums, cats and an occasional dog. Once in a great while, a coyote.

Think they'd be of interest? I don't - but I could be wrong...

As a participant and user of the UCD Road Ecology roadkill site I say yes, please record even common species roadkill. Its not about how interesting the species are its about building a database.
